Meet the Chamber Team
The people behind the Market Harborough Chamber of Commerce.

Gareth Thomas
Chamber Chair
Dr. Gareth Thomas is Managing Director of Skills and Employment Support Limited, established in 2014. The business specialises in helping clients to understand and implement effective skills and employment strategies, through a clear and highly developed understanding of the commercial training market and Government policy. We support businesses to grow, maximise their return on investment, and are currently supporting a wide range of partners to achieve their goals and ambitions.
Gareth is also an Associate Director and former Chair of several independent training providers, including Peritus Learning and Development Limited, a Leicester based training company with a market leading online training offer.
In his spare time Gareth enjoys wildlife photography and travelling.

Jo Bluck
Vice Chair
I’m the Communications Director for the Market Harborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce, leading our communications strategy to promote local enterprise, engage members, and strengthen our voice in the business community. I manage campaigns, social media, and event publicity, working closely with the Executive Committee and local partners to build a strong, visible brand.
Alongside this, I run Pulse Communications Ltd, supporting businesses to elevate their communications and engagement through strategic consultancy, social media and content creation, event and campaign support, media relations, and training. My focus is on boosting visibility, building trust, and driving growth and helping organisations connect with their audiences and make an impact.
Outside of work, I love dog walks, dog agility, baking, and spending time with family and friends. I’m also a qualified British Eventing judge.

Martin Robson
Treasurer
Martin is a director of two businesses; Allegiant AI for Business Support and Roman Britons Web Services. Both offer a range of services, education and products that help businesses stay competitive in a fast changing world.
Martin holds a certificate in Digital Marketing and helps you to convert visitors into paying customers with various techniques to give you the edge over your competitors. He is currently simplifying and automating the Chamber’s I.T. systems in order to provide better value to members.
Martin’s background includes business analysis (converting tech mumbo jumbo into plain English and vice versa), managing global IT projects, and teaching English abroad.
Martin enjoys exploring, especially by foot or by bike, the HFM quiz, and live music.
